Starting school is an exciting time for both parents and children. You should be thinking about your child starting reception class in the September following their third birthday.

Our nursery is designed to support the early development of young minds through a blend of structured learning, play, and exploration. Our dedicated team of educators is committed to creating a warm, safe, and stimulating setting where your child can grow, learn, and thrive.
Flexible Funding Options Available
Our nursery offers both 15-hour and 30-hour places to meet the needs of our families. The standard 15-hour option is available to all, while the 30-hour option is available for families who meet specific eligibility criteria.

Reception Admissions
Goldbeaters is a 2 form entry, fully inclusive school.
Each year there are 60 Reception places.
School places are offered in accordance to Barnet's admissions criteria.
The school is currently over-subscribed.
The school has no power or sway over decisions made by the Admissions Team.

All applications are made online.
Deadline for applications to be made is January 15th 2026. Applications made after this date are considered late.

In-Year Admissions
This is an application made for your child after the September that they would start in Reception. These admissions must be made via the link below and are made to Barnet not directly to the school.
If a child is leaving Goldbeaters the parent should notify the school office. The school office will then liaise with the new school and inform Barnet's Admissions Team that a place has become available within a certain year group. Barnet will then offer a place according to the waiting list for that year group.
Secondary School Admissions
Year 6 parents should be now making applications for their children to transfer to secondary school. Parents should clink on the link below to the correct webpage in order to apply.
Applications must be made by October 31st.
Applications made after this date are considered late.
