Quick Attendance Guide

  ILLNESS

· If your child is unwell, you must call the school office and leave us a       message before 8:00am on 0208 959 6033 option 2. Please tell us your child’s name, class and the details of their illness—please DO NOT use the words “sick” or “not well”.

· If your child’s attendance falls below the excepted percentage, evidence may be requested and they will be placed on a “Watch list” which is monitored by the Education Welfare Officer from Barnet.

  LATENESS

· School starts at 8:30am. Children need to be seated in class before          registration starts at 8:40am.

· If your child arrives at 8:40am or after, you MUST sign them in late with the office so we know they are safely in school.

          ·Children who are collected late may incur a £10 late fee.

 Absence Request

· Holidays/Trips must NOT be taken in term time, ONLY during school holidays. Barnet now expect us to fine parents if they take their children out of school during term time.

           · NEW SCHOOL POLICY- Medical evidence must now be provided for absences taken 3 days before or after a school holiday. 

    Medical Appointments

· If your child has a medical appointment they must still be in school part of the day and you must provide an appointment slip or letter from the doctor to the office in advance. Please also let your child’s teacher know so they can be sent to the office on the day.
