Our Ancient Egyptian day was: "Fun!" "Fantastic!" "Exciting!"  "We Enjoyed it so much!"

We took part in  many activities including : lamp making, tomb painting, bread making, drama, dance and storytelling.  We ended the day with a huge feast of Egyptian foods.

Thank you to all of our  parent helpers for making it such a brilliant day and to Milan's parents for the delicious bread used in our feast.

Summer Term 2015

This term we will be travelling back in time to Ancient Egypt.  We will be learning about everyday life and Egyptian society.  We have already found out how to make mummies!

In Science we will be learning about the structure of plants and about how we can help plants to grow well.  We have already begun an investigation to find out what will happen to a plant if we take some of the leaves off.

In Maths we will continue to learn our times tables: 2x 3x 4x 5x and 8x.  We will also be developing our understanding of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, as well as solving word problems.

Autumn Term 2014 - 2nd Half

We have been very busy learning about The Stone and Bronze Ages and will be moving onto the Iron Age soon.  We have learned about the three Stone Age eras - Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic and made shelters from each of them.

Autumn Term 2014

We have had a great time this half term, exploring our topic 'What Makes the Earth Angry?'  All of your children have been very enthusiastic and have learned so much about volcanoes, earthquakes, the structure of our planet, rocks, soils and much much more!

We have made play dough models of the Earth, chocolate rocks and plaster fossils.  We have also written explanation texts about volcanoes, a diary of Mary Anning (a famous fossil hunter) and a biography of Neil Armstrong who studied rocks on the moon.

Roar-some Big Cat Parents!

Thank you for supporting the children with their reading and topic work.  They have done some amazing extra topic work at home and have asked us a lot of interesting questions.  Miss Kevin and Miss Brown feel that we have learned as much from your children as they have from us!  Thank you also for your generous support for our Go Givers projects: Read to Feed, MacMillan Big Coffee Morning and Harvest Festival.
